Enable Custom LED Light for Whatsapp messages in Samsung Galaxy S3

Finding it difficult to differentiate when a message came or mail arrived or some friend on your whatsapp list  pinged you? If you have the same ringtone for the above notifications then there is no need to worry. In Samsung Galaxy S3, you've got an option to differentiate when message from a friend in your whatsapp list arrives. This is a really nifty feature which helps by just looking at the phone. There are many times when we keep the phone on the table and are roaming around and miss the notification sound. Or there can be times when the phone is in vibration mode and something comes from the likes of message, mail or whatsapp.

One thing is for sure and that is when anything arrives, your Galaxy S3 shows you notification LED. This is, in most of the cases, orange in color. In whatsapp (Version 2.9.5196), there is an option to set your favorite color as your notification LED light. And a pretty simple one to implement. You just need to tweak a few settings by following these steps:

• Go to Whatsapp. Go to Settings. Settings window will come:

• Now select the 'Notifications' from there. This will take you to Notifications window as shown here:

• From Notifications window, select the 'Light' option. It will show something like 'Light: White.' In my case, it shows 'Light: Yellow' because I have selected yellow light. This will pop-up a smaller window which is like this:

• Select the color of your choice and there you go. You can even customize this notification light differently for 'MESSAGE NOTIFICATIONS,' 'GROUP NOTIFICATIONS' and 'BROADCAST NOTIFICATIONS.'
